Two Vanguard Technology team members were recently featured in industry publications, highlighting the company’s thought leadership in developing websites and social communities for associations.
Chris Bonney interviewed by Associations Now
Vanguard’s Vice President of Client Experience Chris Bonney was interviewed by Associations Now for the article “Metrics of Engagement” in the June 2011 issue.
The article highlights successes from Vanguard’s work with the International Special Events Society (ISES) and assisting them with their social networking strategy. One takeaway Bonney points out in the article is that "'People want to interact with our association in their own way.' Some prefer Facebook, some like Twitter, and still others like the familiar format of listservs."
A few other insights highlighted in the article include:
- Mapping social media to your organization’s strategy
- Content is king and each facet of your social media strategy needs to have its own content
- Offer incentives to get members and users involved in your platforms
